The discussion is quite good. If you had asked me before this post whether grad students had a sense of entitlement at all, I would have answered with "absolutely not." At UW, we definitely understand that we are not likely to get a research heavy, TT job. I was surprised by various of the comments in the Leiter thread.

It's the same way at Rochester. I was pretty thankful to have a tenure-track job, and I'm REALLY happy with this particular job.
